This week I focused on the use of colors in design. I must confess that this was the part I last enjoyed reading about in the excellent Creating Graphics for Learning and Performance. I missed for example more practical indications as kuler and the interactive experience in Color in Motion. As in other elements, color is something we need to experiment a lot, not only read theory.
Anyway, an interesting message of the book is that there is no need to use lots of colors to make a message clear – an example. A slight difference in tones or shades can make a difference – as in this image by Association for Development of Down.
