NCI Class: Textures 1 – BASIC
Instructor: Devon Chaffe
Location: Duchy of Nova Civis, Caledon
When: Sunday, April 13, 2008 – 6pm to 7pm, 1 hour

There’s life after plywood!

Learn the ins and outs of texturing and coloring in Second Life. Beginning builders often treat texturing as an afterthought–it’s not. Good texturing is fully as important to most builds as prim construction or scripting.

Come find out how to give your builds that extra edge.

The class covered in detail the Texture Tab, on the object edit menu.

A notecard was read line by line on the text chat, with questions and answers during the presentation.

A Second Life texture calculator tool was mentioned, information on the notecard distributed.

A site about transparency was mentioned.

The professor was from Brazil!

Biological Psychology Lecture series –
Madelline Razor
Tussoc (243,14,99)

2nd lecture in recurring lecture series using material from the Athabasca University course Biological Psychology.

This week, Chapter 2, Nerve Cells & Nerve Impulses

*

A lecture for a small group of students on difficult concepts like nerves, dendrites etc., mainly spoken by a professor who is using Second Life to continue studying and reviewing important material for her work. Questions and answers during the presentation. I missed the use of images and objects (only some uploaded photos were showed).

We faced problems with 2 griefers, who had to be expelled from the class.
